Fire crews battle house fire in NE Oklahoma City in frigid temps

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Oklahoma City fire crews faced frigid temperatures while battling a house fire Wednesday morning.

Officials say crews responded to a home near Kelley Ave. and Wilshire Blvd. around midnight.

No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.

Fire officials are reminding residents to be aware of fire trucks when roads are icy.

"If you are out on the roads and you do see a firetruck approaching, please be cautious," said Acting District Officer Bryan Suchy with OKCFD. "The rigs do have a hard time in ice, they're very, very heavy, everyone's going to have issues stopping. So, just be situationally aware".
