Not Suitable for Work “centers around five work-obsessed twenty-somethings striving for professional success and, if they have time, personal happiness in Manhattan’s most glamorous neighborhood, Murray Hill.”
Previously, the series was reported to be in the works at Hulu under the title Murray Hill in April 2024, and Variety reports it landed at the streamer in “a competitive situation with a script-to-series commitment.”
Mindy will serve as creator and executive producer on the upcoming series, with Charlie Grandy as showrunner and executive producer.
This marks Mindy‘s third project at Hulu, after previously bringing her comedy The Mindy Project to the streamer for three seasons, following a cancelation at Fox. She then co-created Hulu’s Four Weddings and a Funeral series adaptation in 2019.
The news also comes right before another one of her new shows, Running Point, premieres on Netflix later this month.
Mindy has been keeping busy behind-the-scenes, with The Sex Lives of College Girls wrapping up it’s third season earlier this year, and she’s also working on co-writing the script for a third Legally Blonde movie!
