Camila Cabello announces first UK tour in six years as she opens up about career plans
SINGER and actress Camila Cabello has announced her first European tour in six years.
The Havana singer, who presented the Children’s and Family Film award during Sunday’s ceremony, told Bizarre she can’t wait to get back on the road – admitting she finds it far less scary than acting.
Chatting to Biz about life on the road vs on the big screen during the dinner, Camila said: “I think performing music is what I know and what I’m used to, but I do like to be pushed outside of my comfort zone.
“So acting is scarier for me ,but I love it.
“On tour I like to have a set playlist of songs that I’ll listen to before going on stage – I love El Alfa, Rem and Latto.”
In 2021, Camila starred alongside Pierce Brosnan as Cinderella in Amazon‘s big musical adaptation, produced by James Corden.
While last year she appeared in the gritty drama, Rob Peace.
Insisting she’s keen to try out any role rather than pigeon hole herself, Camila added: “I’m open-minded about future roles I may take on.
“I love to be challenged and do things I haven’t done before.”
Speaking to Bizarre during the VIP Bafta dinner in London, Camila admitted she can’t get enough of the UK – though still needs some time to get into UK TV.
After Wallace and Gromit won big on Sunday night the singer admits she can’t wait to check them out.
Camila said: “They are so adorable I’ve not actually seen any of them but it’s now on my to watch list.”
She will play shows across the continent in June and July – with a date at London’s Eventim Apollo on July 8.
