India will continue to review import duties, aim to be investor friendly, says Sitharaman

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated that India will regularly review customs and anti-dumping duties to create an investor-friendly environment. The country aims to rationalise trade tariffs. Discussions with the US on reciprocal tariffs and a bilateral trade agreement are ongoing. The government is also considering raising the deposit insurance limit beyond Rs 5 lakh.
