Setting energy rates

The San José City Council has set a public meeting for Feb. 25 to determine San José Clean Energy’s (SJCE) electric generation rates. It’s anticipated that the council will approve final rates at this meeting. They would take effect as soon as March 1.
For more information, visit SanJoseCleanEnergy.org/residential-rates or SanJoseCleanEnergy.org/commercial-rates, or call 833-432-2454.

The meeting is set for 1:30 p.m., in person at City Council Chambers, 200 E. Santa Clara St., and virtually at sanjoseca.gov/news-stories/watch-a-meeting.

Notre Dame High School’s 22nd annual Crab Fest was all it was cracked up to be. More than 400 attendees made a meal of 1,600 pounds of crab at the event, held earlier this month.

The Crab Fest is a fundraiser for Notre Dame’s co-curricular programs, which provide students at the private girls school the opportunity to explore their interests and talents. The school is still accepting donations at https://www.ndsj.org/support-nd/crab-donation.

HOSA, which stands for Health Occupations Students of America, is an internationally recognized student-led organization—one of two career and technical student organizations at SVCTE. HOSA’s competitive events provide a platform for students to expand their expertise and gain hands-on experience.
