Google has renewed the lease for two of its offices, with the new agreement coming into effect from June this year. Real estate firm Square Yards reviewed the lease registration documents and shared key details. According to the company, Google has renewed the lease for its two entities—Google India Private Limited and Google Cloud India Private Limited—both located in Mumbai.

Google is a global tech giant known for its expertise in internet-based services and products, including search engines, online advertising, cloud computing, software, and hardware. In India, Google Cloud India Private Limited specializes in cloud computing, data analytics, and AI-powered solutions for businesses. Meanwhile, Google India Private Limited manages the company’s overall operations in the country, covering areas such as advertising, search, and digital initiatives.

Google to pay Rs. 4.79 crore in monthly rent for two offices

The two offices are located in the First International Financial Centre (FIFC) at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, covering a total area of 1,49,658 square feet.

  • Google India Private Limited’s office spans 1,10,980 square feet across two floors. Starting June, Google will pay Rs. 3.55 crore per month as rent for this space.
  • Google Cloud India Private Limited’s office covers 38,678 square feet on a single floor, with a monthly rent of Rs.1.24 crore from June onwards.

In total, Google will be paying Rs. 4.79 crore per month for these office spaces.

Rent to increase by 15% after 36 months

According to Square Yards, both Google India Private Limited and Google Cloud India Private Limited will be paying a rent of Rs. 320 per square foot per month. As per the lease agreement, the rent will increase by 15% after 36 months.

Additionally, Google has made the following payments:

  • Security Deposit: Google India Private Limited – Rs. 9.64 crore, Google Cloud India Private Limited: Rs. 3.13 crore
  • Stamp Duty & Registration Fees: Google India Private Limited – Rs. 1.87 crore (stamp duty) + Rs. 30,000 (registration fee), Google Cloud India Private Limited: Rs. 66.92 lakh (stamp duty) + Rs. 30,000 (registration fee)
