GERWYN PRICE gave darts fans a taste of their own medicine with an incredible response during last night’s Premier League event.
The Welshman reached the semis during Night 2 in Glasgow on Thursday.
Price started his night with a 6-4 win over Nathan Aspinall.
But he came unstuck in the final four with a 6-4 loss to Luke Humphries.
Teen darts sensation Luke Littler went on to win a dramatic final with a 6-5 score line.
Yet it was Price’s semi against beaten finalist Humphries that saw the night’s best crowd interaction.
The ace was up against it when the Glaswegian fans began to whistle.
The sounds continued as Price hit a Treble 20, prompting the referee to ask the crowd to stop.
Yet they intensified when he struck the cherished red for a second time.
The booing reached a crescendo before Price hit his mark again for a top 180 score.
And it was then that Price got his own back.
Facing the fans, the cheeky darts slinger put his fingers in his mouth before mock-whistling back in their direction.
Price ended up bursting into laughter as opponent Humphries chuckled on the side.
And the pair bumped fist in a warm sporting moment before Price mock-whistled to the crowd once more.
The star ended up going on to lose 6-4 to Humphries.
But posting on social media afterwards, Price insisted he was happy with his performance.
He said: “So happy to get some points on the board this week.
“Dublin next week. One of my favourite venues and crowds… 2 down 15 to go.”
