I’m an ex-boxer who’s a dead ringer for Tommy Fury – women say they’ll chuck mud over their own homes so I clean it

0

A WINDOW cleaner is such a dead ringer for Tommy Fury that his social media ad was mobbed by ”thirsty housewives” willing to ”chuck mud” at their houses to guarantee a visit.

Ex-boxer Mark Heffron, from Oldham in Greater Manchester took on a small window cleaning round in Greater Manchester after hanging up the gloves on his professional boxing career seven months ago.

The 5ft 11in fighter became a professional boxer in 2010 and won WBC International title in 2018

The 33-year-old posted a snap of himself wearing a form-fitting shirt and wielding a cleaning brush on Facebook with the caption ”perfect weather for cleaning windows” and a wink emoji on February 6th.

Alongside drumming up custom for Heffron Multiclean, the dad-of-two inadvertently attracted an army of female admirers who didn’t hold back in the comments section,

The snap went viral, racking up more than 1,700 likes and 1,500 comments mainly from women – but also blokes requesting saucy lasses dial down the flirting.

While some women were quick to ask Mark if he covered their area for window cleaning, others took the joke further by asking if he offered personal cleaning services.

Marks said the comments made him laugh and hopes the attention will help his business thrive.

Mark, from Oldham in Manchester, said: “It was a shock. I was out at work and I don’t normally go on my Facebook at work but I had loads of notifications and I thought ‘what’s going on here?’.

“I’m an ex-professional boxer and retired about seven months ago and took over this window cleaning business in Radcliffe, Bury, Whitefield, Prestwich and Crewe and Oldham too.

“It’s been about five months. I took over a small round in these areas and it’s going really well.

“I’ve posted on this Facebook page many times before and it has never gotten this attention.

“I hash-tagged the area on this post and put the photo up. It took two or three days but now it’s gone crazy.

“I’ve seen the odd comment and they’ve made me laugh.

“The comments are quite funny in a way. I thought it was funny but there were a lot of people arguing over the picture.

“It’s a lot of older women commenting on the photo and I’m younger than them.

“I’ve seen a comment saying that if it was a photo of a young girl and men were commenting on it would be a different story.”

Mark says people have mentioned his likeness to Tommy Fury, who’s reportedly back with ex Molly Mae Hague, for years and said he once fought on the undercard at his fight.

The household items you’re not cleaning often enough

Remote Controls: Wipe with a disinfectant cloth. Use a cotton bud for crevices.

Light Switches: Wipe with a disinfectant wipe. Use a mild soap solution for tough stains.

Door Handles: Clean with an antibacterial spray. Wipe down regularly.

Underneath and Behind Appliances: Vacuum or sweep regularly. Mop with a suitable cleaner.

Shower Curtains and Liners: Wash in the washing machine. Use a bleach solution for stubborn mildew.

Kitchen Sponges and Dishcloths: Microwave damp sponges for one minute. Wash dishcloths in the washing machine.

The 5ft 11in fighter became a professional boxer in 2010 and won WBC International title in 2018 and then went on to scoop a British, Commonwealth and IBF international title in 2022.

Mark says swapping his super middleweight boxing career to window cleaning has allowed him to be more sociable and says he loves his new role while still training every night.

Mark said: “I’ve been told that I look like Tommy Fury for a good few years.

“It’s not a bad thing is it? He’s a good-looking lad. Tommy Fury has fought on my undercard.

“I’ve had a good career but my body isn’t letting me carry on.

“I enjoy it and I am loving it [window cleaning] at the moment. In boxing I spent a lot of time on my own, so now as a window cleaner I meet a lot of new faces and I love it.”

Since uploading his window cleaning photo onto his business page, the post has been shared more than 200 times.

One user said: “Chucking mud at my windows.”

Another added: “Be right back, just sacking my window cleaner.”

One commented: “The amount of thirsty housewives is wild.”

Another added: “Some of these women are old enough to be his mother. If this was a young girl getting comments from an old man like this…”

One commented: “Does he wash women? If so, what’s his availability?”
