'Por Esos Ojos' English Translation & Lyrics: See the Meaning Behind Fuerza Regida's New Song

Fuerza Regida is back with a new track, called “Por Esos Ojos”!

The American regional Mexican band, made up of lead vocalist Jesús Ortíz Paz, backing vocalist and 12-string guitarist Samuel Jáimez, rhythm guitarist Khrystian Ramos, sousaphone player José “Pelón” García and tololoche player Moisés López, returned this week with a new song, and we’ve got the lyrics and English translation.

The release comes just after the popular group’s debut at Paris Men’s Fashion Week 2025, where the lead singer (also referred to as JOP) went viral on social media and made history by performing Música Mexicana from the front row of KidSuper’s show.

The song is about the “journey from hardship to success, exploring the hidden emptiness that often accompanies fame. With guitar and bass at the forefront, the corrido delves into themes of love, ambition, and sacrifice, while expressing deep devotion and protection for the one he loves,” per an official release.

“I have everything and nothing satisfies me / Money is worthless,” he sings.

The group, who have collaborated with acts like Shakira, Marshmello and Drake, currently has 7 Premio Lo Nuestro nominations, including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. The awards show will be airing on February 22 on Univision.
