Watch the moment Casey admits he ‘only went on Love Island for followers & to get a tan’ after ‘clout-chaser’ villa row

CASEY O’Gorman admitted he DID go on Love Island “for followers” – despite his protests in last night’s huge villa row.

The reality TV star, 28, is currently on his third villa stint and has come under fire about his REAL intentions to be on the show.

An unearthed clip shows Casey chasing the Love Island clout[/caption]

Casey clashed with his fellow Islanders after being accused of being a “clout-chaser” – which is someone who is only interested in boosting their social media profile.

But in an unearthed clip, the star can be seen openly admitting he only went on Love Island to get “more fans” and also “get a tan”.

The video was posted last April, and is of Casey and his fellow All Stars 2024 pal, Josh Ritchie.

In it, the pair are seen running though reasons why they went on the show.

In one bit of the video, Casey quite clearly says: “I went on Love Island for the followers.”

Going on, he added: “Of course I went on Love Island to get a good tan and speak to the lads all day.”

Casey then said: “I went on Love Island because all I wanted to be was a TikToker!”

‘CLOUT-CHASER’

The unearthed clip comes after Love Island All Stars fans went into meltdown after Casey said he didn’t appear on the show third time “for the clout”.

It all started during a heated game of To Be Honest, where the Islanders were asked to vote for the couple who “entered the villa for clout”.

It then kicked off when Harriet Blackmore and Ronnie Vint said they thought this was why Casey signed up to be on the show – AGAIN.

The third time Islander, who is coupled up with Gabby Allen, exploded as he defended himself, claiming he was on All Stars “for love”.

But despite his protests, fans were NOT convinced.

Taking to social media, one wrote: “‘Casey every time you go on Love Island you’re chasing clout don’t LIE!”

While another added: “Casey, why’d you need to come into the villa a 3rd time to ‘find a connection’?

“You don’t want what Tom & Molly have, you want the clout they have.”

This one penned: “Casey really wants us to believe he came on the show a whopping 3 times for love and not for clout….he must think we’re idiots!”

THIRD TIME’S A CHARM

Casey first entered the villa for the 2023 Winter Love Island series.

The first time he was on the show he was coupled up with Lana Jenkins, Claudia Fogarty and Rosie Seabrook.

Casey then appeared on the first season of All Stars where he was coupled up with Kaz Kamwi and Eve Gale. 

After returning to All Stars last month, the hunk in trunks is having a more successful time this time around.

He has been with Gabby Allen since the first week of the series and the pair seem to be going from strength-to-strength.

BANNED FROM DOING LOVE ISLAND AGAIN

The Sun previously exclusively revealed how Casey has been banned from doing another stint on Love Island by his best mate.

Tom Clare told us he won’t let his good pal go into the villa for a fourth time.

The hunky footballer – who won All Stars with his other half Molly Smith last year – joked they were both desperate for Casey to find love so he would “stop FaceTiming them every day”.

Speaking before his friend went on All Stars again, Tom told The Sun: “I won’t let him go on again. This is his last time.

“He had mixed feelings about doing it for a third time, but look, he’s single, and I think on the outside, he hasn’t met anyone that he’s wanted to settle down with.

“The last two times he was in there, he came in quite late, so he didn’t really get to show his full potential.

“So I just said, look, go for it, enjoy yourself, and come back with a girlfriend, so you’ll stop first-timing me every day’.

“I obviously do miss him when he’s out there because he’s one of my closest friends.

“I just want the best for him and I’ll back him all day long.”
