Europe vows 'firm' response to new US tariffs on steel and aluminium

European Union chief Ursula von der Leyen said on Tuesday that "unjustified" US tariffs will not go unanswered and will be met by "firm and proportionate countermeasures". US President Donald Trump has announced an increase on steel and aluminium tariffs to a flat 25 percent on all nations "without exceptions or exemptions".
