90s teen heartthrob unrecognisable 35 years after smash hit show – but can you guess who it is?
WITH his slicked back dark hair and designer stubble, it might be hard to recognise who this 90s teen heartthrob is.
Back in the day this smouldering actor, now 50, was known for his floppy blonde locks and cheeky attitude.
But if you look carefully, you will see that this handsome man is in fact Mark-Paul Gosselaar AKA Zack Morris from Saved By The Bell.
The actor shot to fame in the hit High School comedy, and has remained acting ever since.
Last night he was spotted on the red carpet at the Critics Choice Awards.
Giving off James Bond vibes, he looked dapper in his white tuxedo, complete with black bowtie.
Saved By The Bell, which ran for 86 episodes, was a huge hit around the world, being shown in the mornings during UK school holidays in the 90s and gaining a huge following.
First airing in 1989 it featured Mark-Paul as Zack, Mario Lopez as AC Slater and the late Dustin Diamond as Screech Powers.
The trio were matched by three girls – Tiffani Thiessen as Kelly Kapowski, Elizabeth Berkley as Jessie Spano and Lark Voorhies’ Lisa Turtle.
Mark-Paul told People that during his time on the show he dated all three of his female co-stars at different times.
In 1996 he married model and actress Lisa Ann Russell, who had appeared in an episode of Saved by the Bell: The College Years three years earlier.
They had children Michael, 21, and Ava, 18, but split in 2010.
He later married Catriona McGinn and had another two children – son Dekker, 11, and daughter Lachlyn, nine.
Mark-Paul reprised the role of Zack in the 2020 reboot of Saved By The Bell, revealing that Zack had risen to become Governor of California.
Married to childhood sweetheart Kelly, their son Mac was a child at Bayside High.
However, after running for two series the show was cancelled by US telly network NBC‘s Peacock streaming service in 2022.
