Lotte to enter snacks segment; to invest $300 million in next 5 years in India

South Korean multinational Lotte plans to expand into the Indian snack segment, leveraging the increasing popularity of K-food and K-pop. A new product, Pepero, will be launched in July 2024, with additional investment aimed at scaling production and expanding its ice cream market reach.
