Ron Hall hits back at Scott Thomas over claims he was waiting for ex Lana to enter Love Island All Stars villa
LOVE Island star Ron Hall has hit back at Scott Thomas’ claim he was waiting for ex-girlfriend Lana Jenkins to arrive as a villa bombshell.
Speaking on The Morning After podcast just two days after Scott made his claims on the show, Ron said: “Why has he said that? It isn’t true.
“I had an inkling. I knew she was single; I knew she would probably be open to going back on. So, in my head, as you do, if I was probably in a couple and plain sailing with someone, it wouldn’t surprise me if they threw her in to spice things up. Everyone’s mind was on that if they had an ex who was single; we all kind of spoke about it.
“We wondered, ‘Would your ex do it?’ So we were worried about it, and obviously, Ronnie’s Harriett came in.
“I would have been OK because if I saw her, we would be friendly. We ended so well; nothing went wrong, so it would actually be quite easy for me.
“I think it was because the boys would tease me about it. We used to say it to Scott, what if Kady [McDermott] comes in. It does play with your head. Regardless of how it ended you don’t want to see your ex.”
Makeup artist Lana appeared to take a swipe at Ron when he exited the villa.
She toasted his departure by sharing a picture of herself enjoying a drink in a bar.
In the caption, she simply wrote: “The Bar” alongside an emoji chart rising off the page and a winking face.
Fans commented that it appeared to be a dig at Ron, with her “setting the bar high” for him when he returned to All Stars.
“Another Ron dig??,” wrote one fan, prompting another to respond: “he literally stated his bar is high, she was how high the bar was set at.. it’s the truth, far from a dig.”
“What an indirect” laughed another, while a fourth said: “Well that’s not cryptic! ;)”
Ron’s exit scenes aired on Monday night, with him pulling the gang to the firepit to explain his decision just days after Scott also walked.
“I know we’ve just lost Scott, and I know it’s s**t, but it is my time,” he told everyone.
“There’s only so much that I can do, sitting in the sun, just sort of staring at the door for the right person.
“I just don’t know whether that right person is going to come in for me, so I am going to go tonight.”
He’d previously told the boys of the decision: “My time is done… I think, not having a couple, not having, like that strong connection with anyone, I’m a very logical person.”
“It’s like, what chance is there that the right person will walk through the door? I want to leave on a happy note.”
During his first time in the villa, Ron found himself in demand – first coupling up with Lana before he was “stolen” in a recoupling by Tanyel Revan.
He remained with Tanyel for the next couple of weeks, but ultimately returned to Lana, with the pair making it to the final together.
The pair were runners up of the Winter 2023 series, with Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan – who are now engaged to be married – taking home the win.
