Rubio says Trump 'very generously' offered the ability of the US to help with rebuilding Gaza
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says President Donald Trump’s proposal to take “ownership” of Gaza and redevelop the area into “the Riviera of the Middle East” was a “generous” offer. Rubio said: “It was not meant as a hostile move. It was meant as a, I think, a very generous move.” He said the Palestinian territory is “akin to a natural disaster” and people can’t live there because there are unexploded munitions, debris and rubble. Rubio spoke Wednesday during a news conference with the Guatemalan president in the country’s capital.
