DANCING On Ice star Charlie Brooks has split from her new boyfriend just weeks after going public.
The beloved actress beamed as she spoke to The Sun recently, after finding love with her new TV producer boyfriend six years after her heartbreaking split.
The 43-year-old, loved for playing Janine Butcher, made her new romance public as she cosied up to producer James Fuller during a walk in London last month.
James later added his own snap of him and Charlie holding hands alongside a love heart emoji.
Producer James, known for working on a string of high-profile adverts, is believed to have met Charlie last summer.
But just weeks after making things public, the pair have now gone their separate ways, with James calling Charlie an “amicable ex girlfriend.”
A source told The Sun: “They’re still really close but she wanted to concentrate on Dancing On Ice.
“It’s very demanding and she’s training six days a week. It’s hard to keep a romantic relationship going with all the hard work she’s putting in but they’re still best friends.”
The Sun has contacted Charlie’s representatives for comment.
Charlie is currently appearing on Dancing On Ice and said the show has transformed her life – teaching her valuable lessons about trust and opening up to people again.
She’s partnered up with pro skater Eric Bradford, and the Dancing On Ice Instagram account shared a clip from their recent skate routine, captioned: “Not a dry eye in the audience after Charlie and Eric’s emotional skate.”
It prompted Charlie’s now ex James to comment a lengthy message, as he wrote beneath: “Damn you guys are elegant, graceful and gorgeous! It’s a 10 for me! Can’t wait to see you skate again this Sunday!
“@charlie_brooks_xx you are easily the coolest, most thoughtful, wonderful, amicable ex girlfriend and current best friend that a boy could wish for.”
He continued: “So glad to be on this journey with you. You got this girl! So, so proud of you that words do no justice.
“Looking forward to a game of Rummikub with you after you have won this show and before you start Chitty!”
The split comes after Charlie was asked how Dancing On Ice has changed her life, and she said: “The lessons I’m learning on the ice, I swear to God, like the parallels I’m having in my own life…
“To surrender into the ice, not being resistant, like lean into me, trust him. Don’t put blocks up.
“I feel like there’s been quite a lot of unblocking and growth, connection and heart opening. It’s been amazing.”
Charlie also revealed how those lessons have helped her in her personal life, saying she has been “open to meeting people in a way that maybe I wasn’t before.”
Her new romance marks Charlie’s first public relationship since her split from Ben Hollington, her boyfriend of six years, back in 2018.
Charlie shares a daughter, Kiki, with Ibiza club owner Tony Truman, whom she split from in 2007.
Despite their separation, the pair maintained a strong co-parenting arrangement, with Tony living in a flat above Charlie and her ex Ben.
In 2021, Charlie revealed that Tony was emotional about her breakup with Ben, admitting he “cried” when the relationship ended.
And she described how the trio remained incredibly close while raising Kiki together.
