Get over London Eye! Mumbai's getting its own giant ferris wheel soon

The BMC has announced plans to construct the 'Mumbai Eye' under a PPP model, inspired by the London Eye. The project, originally proposed in 2008, was scrapped at a Bandra Reclamation location due to local opposition. The BMC presented a Rs 74,427 crore budget for 2025-26, a 14.19% increase from the previous year.
