Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube confirm availability for Mumbai’s upcoming Ranji Trophy clash

India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav and hard-hitter Shivam Dube have both made themselves available for Mumbai’s quarter-final clash in the Ranji Trophy. The defending champions will be squaring-off against Haryana at Lahli.

Mumbai finished second in their group with 29 points after Jammu and Kashmir, who defeated Baroda in the final round and topped the group with 35 points.

Despite Suryakumar not performing well in the 5-match T20I series and finishing with just 37 runs, his presence in the camp will be a major boost for the Mumbai side.

“Yadav and Dube have informed us that they are available for the quarter-finals. The selection committee will meet soon and pick a squad for the same,” a source in the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) said.

Suryakumar did play one Ranji Trophy game for Mumbai this season but has been busy with national duty. He did feature for his state team in both the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Dube also participated in Mumbai’s match against Jammu and Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy, nut soon received a call-up to the Indian team for the England T20Is. He returned with a bang and scored a fifty in the fourth T20I which was held in Pune.

The quarter-finals of the Ranji Trophy are scheduled to start on February 8 and will be played over five days.
