Blake Lively Made 'Veiled Threat' About Taylor Swift Amid Feud With Justin Baldoni Over 'It Ends With Us' (Report)

Blake Lively allegedly leveraged her friendship with Taylor Swift to get her way behind the scenes of It Ends With Us, according to Justin Baldoni.

On Saturday (February 1), the actor/director published a website with additional details about his legal battle with Blake and her husband Ryan Reynolds.

The website included a timeline, which alleged that Blake made a “veiled threat” having to do with Taylor if she did not get her way.

According to Justin, Blake threatened to withhold approval of the It Ends With Us trailer if she did not get additional time working on a cut of the movie with a personal editor.

Justin‘s team alleged that she “made a veiled threat, implying she might ‘change her mind’ about reaching out to Taylor Swift to secure the use of ‘My Tears Ricochet’ for the trailer if her demands were not met.”

As evidence, an alleged text exchange with a Sony executive was included and read as followed:

“Blake is calling Taylor to approve the song. She of course just reached out saying she is asking for time with [REDACTED] her editor. We know it was conditional on signing contract – but asking if you will reconsider – so [REDACTED] can release this trailer and Blake does not change her me re calling Taylor Swift.”

A Sony marketing executive was also on the text thread and reportedly urged Justin and his team not to “play ball,” writing, “you are going to delay and greatly hurt the movie.”

Justin noted that they agreed to her demands in order to move forward as planned. The exchange allegedly took place in May 2024.

Taylor was previously referenced in a lawsuit that Justin filed against Blake and her husband Ryan Reynolds in January.
