Title-deciding games in 2025: Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and more

One of the most exciting elements of the football season for sports bettors is predicting which teams will get their hands on silverware at the end of the campaign.

Title races can fluctuate as wildly as cryptocurrencies prices, which undoubtedly adds to the excitement when the season reaches the business end.

For fans inclined towards crypto sports betting, landing a successful multiple wager covering the title winners in several leagues is a ‘bucket list’ achievement.

With that in mind, we have scored the fixture lists in the top leagues in Europe to identify which games could be pivotal in title battles this term.

Arsenal vs Manchester City – Premier League – February 2

Liverpool’s relentless form at the top of the Premier League has left Arsenal and Manchester City playing catch-up during the second half of the season.

Injuries have not helped their cause, but both clubs will be hoping they can put those aside and put the Reds under pressure over the final few months.

Man City will head to the Emirates Stadium knowing that anything less than a victory will end their faint hopes of winning a fifth consecutive title.

The Gunners can also ill-afford to drop any points, setting up what promises to be a must-watch encounter at the start of February.

Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid – La Liga – February 8

Atletico Madrid have muscled their way into title contention in La Liga this season and will be desperate to take something from their visit to the Bernabeu Stadium.

Diego Simeone’s side snatched a 1-1 draw in a bad-tempered encounter on home soil in September and the latest derby is guaranteed to be another fiery fixture.

Real Madrid have not been at their brilliant best this season, but remain a formidable force when everything clicks with their top players.

Barcelona will be keeping a close eye on this fixture given that they have allowed a small gap to develop to their Madrid rivals in the title race.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich – February 15

Bayer Leverkusen knocked Bayern Munich off their perch in the Bundesliga last season and are mounting a strong bid to repeat the trick this term.

They drew 1-1 with Bayern at the Allianz Arena in September and another close battle is on the cards when they meet again in mid-February.

While Bayern are the favourites to regain the Bundesliga title, they have undoubtedly shown signs of vulnerability again this season.

If Leverkusen can claim victory in this blockbuster clash, they would set up a thrilling end to the title race in the German top flight.

Manchester City vs Liverpool – Premier League – February 23

Man City’s fixtures against Arsenal and Liverpool in February will be crucial in determining whether they can force their way back into title contention.

Pep Guardiola’s side failed to live up to expectations towards the end of 2024, but are perfectly capable of piecing together a long unbeaten run.

By contrast, Liverpool’s excellent form has fired them to the top of the table and they have shown few signs of wobbling as the season has progressed.

However, Man City can cast doubt in their minds by beating them at Anfield, and it will be intriguing to see how the Reds cope if they are placed under pressure.

Napoli vs Inter Milan – Serie A – March 2

Napoli’s decision to appoint Antonio Conte as manager looks inspired, with the serial-winner guiding the 2022/23 Serie A champions into contention for another title success.

Inter Milan will be eager to throw a spanner in the works in early March as they strive to retain the title they easily claimed at the end last season.

The two sides fought out a 1-1 draw at the San Siro in November and another tight tactical battle is guaranteed when they meet in the reverse fixture.

Conte will know that a victory on home soil could be the decisive moment in the Serie A title race and his team will be pulling out all the stops to make it happen.

Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona – La Liga – March 16

If Barcelona did not think Atletico were a threat in this season’s title race, their meeting just before Christmas will have been a massive wake-up call.

Alexander Sorloth’s last-gasp winner sparked wild celebrations in the Atletico ranks and cemented the belief they can stay the course this season.

Barcelona have looked brilliant at times this term, but their penchant for producing dodgy performances could hinder their title hopes on the run-in.

Hansi Flick’s side cannot afford to suffer another defeat against Atletico, which sets up what will be a thrilling encounter at the Metropolitano Stadium.

Liverpool vs Arsenal – Premier League – May 10

Given the Liverpool versus Arsenal fixture will be staged on Matchday 36, it could ultimately be the pivotal game in this season’s Premier League title race.

The Gunners will be aiming to reach the game with a chance of overhauling Liverpool at the top of the table, but that will be easier said than done.

Arne Slot’s ide are the overwhelming favourites with Bety to claim top spot and it would be a brave move to back against them achieving the feat.

However, pressure can do strange things to teams during the heat of a title battle and Arsenal will hope they are positioned to capitalise on any slip-ups.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid – La Liga – May 11

The latest El Clasico clash between Barcelona and Madrid could also turn into a decider in the La Liga title race this term.

Atletico will hope to scupper those hopes by keeping themselves in the battle, but there will likely be something on the line when the big two go head-to-head.

Barcelona triumphed 4-1 in the reverse fixture in October and followed up with a 5-2 victory in the Spanish Super Cup final earlier this month.

Madrid will be eager to set the record straight on May 11 as they strive to win the La Liga title for the second successive season.
