My neighbour called the police on me because of the ‘grow tent’ in my bedroom – officers were stunned by the contents
A WOMAN was left giggling after her neighbour called the police to report a “grow tent” in her bedroom.
But when officers arrived, they quickly found out things weren’t as they first appeared.
Colette took to her TikTok page to share a video explaining the situation, which she began by showing the large grey tent by the window.
“So I don’t usually air my dirty laundry, but… my neighbour called the police on me the other night, saying they’ve got a grow tent in my bedroom,” she said.
“Shall we have a look at my plants, shall we?”
She then pulled aside the zipped up door of the tent, to reveal it’s actually a heated airer with a cover – often used to speed up the drying process by trapping the heat inside.
“Omg please tell me what the police said?!!?!?” one person wrote in the comments.
“She refused to come and have a look once I told her what it was!” Colette laughed.
“This is iconic,” another praised.
“Get some ‘leaf‘ decals for your window!”
“Off I go to move my son’s sensory den away from the window,” a third said.
“My neighbour has foil on their window, as in kitchen foil,” someone else said.
“It’s been years and I’d love to know what they do in there to need it!”
“I don’t think it’s laundry,” Colette replied.
“My mate had it because there was no snow on my shed roof,” another revealed.
“Nine coppers, 2 vans, 3 cars – they got a surprise when they smashed the shed door off to be greeted by 12 ferrets and a whippet!”
“Ours called the police saying we’d turned the kitchen into Breaking Bad & the smell of chemicals was a lot,” someone else recalled.
“I’d burnt my omelette & then weighed out flour from a clear Ziplock bag to make pancakes!”

“Has your neighbour got binoculars?” another asked.
“No mate, I’m 5’2 and need to stand on the bed to put the cover on,” Colette said.
“He’s outside fly tipping sees me and reports me!”
“Call the police and say the neighbour is looking through your bedroom window and you don’t feel safe,” someone else suggested.
To which Colette replied: “I did last year when I caught looking in my living room from the balcony window.
“Had to put a fence up. Or he would have reported me for the clothes air sooner.”
“Don’t, I have this exact airer!” another laughed.
“It’s not next to a window is it,” Colette asked.
“It’s awesome have not used my tumble dryer since!”
“Mine rang the fire brigade just after Xmas because I burned some cardboard,” someone else sighed.
“Nine pm at night, nobody was out, nobody’s windows open. Perfectly safe!
“Fire man took my details in case they ring again.”
“Don’t understand why people don’t just stay in their own lane,” Colette raged.
