The Mahakumbh, held every 12 years, has witnessed overwhelming participation this year, with over 11 crore devotees taking a holy dip in the first 14 days. The Uttar Pradesh government anticipates a record 45 crore visitors by the end of the event.

On the same day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and his son, ICC Chairman Jay Shah, also participated in the Mahakumbh festivities. Amit Shah described the event on social media platform X as a “unique symbol of Sanatan culture’s eternal flow,” reflecting the philosophy of harmony embedded in Sanatan Dharma.

By 10 a.m. on Monday, over 53.29 lakh people had taken the holy dip, according to the Uttar Pradesh government. The spiritual significance of the Mahakumbh resonates deeply with millions of devotees, who see it as an opportunity to cleanse their souls and embrace tradition.
