Mumbai airport operator MIAL to redevelop T1; increase annual passenger handling capacity

Terminal 1 at Mumbai airport will be demolished and redeveloped from November 2025 to enhance passenger capacity. Construction of the new terminal is expected to be completed by 2028-29, increasing capacity by 42 per cent. During this period, Terminal 2 and Navi Mumbai International Airport will manage the additional traffic.
