Venus Williams made it clear she doesn’t mind being the tallest in the room at Christian Dior’s Couture Spring 2025 show in Paris on Monday.

The 6-foot-1 tennis player towered in platform heels as she posed for photos ahead of the fashion house’s presentation. She wore black sandals that combined thick platform soles with sky-high block heels. The style, which appeared to be about 4 inches tall, was finished with a bow-embellished toe design and a buckled ankle strap fastening to help keep the foot in place.

The former No. 1 paired the playful, height-enhancing footwear with a black boiler suit featuring a zip front, a cinched drawcord waist, snap front-flap pockets at the hips, and zippers down the sides of legs. She donned a matching, oversized coat on top.

Williams accessorized with Dior’s Rose des Vents Plastron necklace crafted in yellow and white gold with diamonds and gemstones. She also wore gold hoop earrings adorned with opals and carried a simple black shoulder bag boasting gold hardware.

The renowned star athlete showed off another all-black ensemble at the 2024 Fashion Awards in London last month. She wore another one-piece look featuring a plunging neckline with a coat on top and glossy black pumps for the occasion.

Williams has a history in the fashion industry. She founded her own activewear brand, EleVen by Venus Williams, in 2007. The brand launched a partnership with K-Swiss in 2020 and Williams starred in the campaign. She also appeared on the cover of Footwear News in 2021. Speaking to FN about the K-Swiss collaboration, she shared, “It’s a great team, they’re just so open. A lot of times you can be caught up in a big corporate machine, but it’s beautiful that they can still be nimble. I’m excited about where we’re going in the future.”
