Coach Ryan Day joins Jimmy Fallon on 'The Tonight Show'

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Ohio State fans are in for a treat Monday night on NBC4 as coach Ryan Day joins Jimmy Fallon on NBC's “The Tonight Show.”

The coach's appearance was announced Monday morning as an addition to the program in an NBC news release and will bring the story of the team's championship to the national audience.

Day is continuing his victory lap after leading the Scarlet and Gray to its ninth national title on Jan. 20 in Atlanta. On Sunday, Ohio State's 34-23 win over Notre Dame was celebrated at Ohio Stadium with a championship rally.

Guests previously booked for the Jan. 27 episode include Shailene Woodley and Martha Stewart. The show, which broadcasts from Studio 6B in New York's Rockefeller Plaza, will also entertain viewers with a performance by the cast of the Broadway musical “Death Becomes Her.”
