Maine earthquake felt by some in Capital Region

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Some residents in the Capital Region reported feeling the effects of an earthquake in Maine on Monday morning. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), a 3.8 magnitude earthquake was recorded about seven miles from York Harbor, Maine around 10:22 a.m.

Officials in Warren County said some staff members felt the earthquake in the Human Services Building in Queensbury. According to the USGS "Did You Feel It?" self-reporting tool, the quake was felt in Schenectady, Glens Falls, Schroon Lake, Pittsfield and Lee, Massachusetts and Arlington and Killington, Vermont, as well as throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
