A substitute teacher in Texas was reportedly under investigation after asking U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to raid a school where many of the students "don't even speak English."

KERA reported Monday that Fort Worth ISD revealed the investigation in a Facebook post.

"Please be assured that we are taking this situation very seriously and are committed to resolving it as quickly as possible," a statement from school board President Roxanne Martinez said.

In a post that is now private, a Fort Worth user on the X platform responded to an ICE enforcement update. President Donald Trump has tasked border czar Tom Homan with carrying out mass deportations. Homan has said that he was willing to authorize school raids.

"Y'all should come to Fort Worth, TX to Northside High School," the post said, complaining that "many students who don't even speak English."

A majority of students enrolled in Fort Worth ISD schools were reportedly Latino.

"We recognize that recent national changes in immigration policies may have left some families in our community feeling uncertain or concerned," interim Superintendent Karen Molinar said. "We are here to support all of our students, families and staff."
