Man dies after MTA bus crashes into crane in Manhattan: NYPD
MIDTOWN, Manhattan (PIX11) – A man was killed after an MTA bus crashed into a crane in Manhattan on Sunday, according to the NYPD.
It happened near 5th Avenue and East 51st Street in Midtown around 9:30 p.m. The bus smashed into the arm of the lift, causing a 37-year-old man to fall off it, police said.
The man was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue where he was pronounced dead.
It’s not clear if anyone else was injured or if passengers were on the bus at the time of the crash.
