CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A 17-year-old boy was stabbed after he was jumped by four men on a subway train in Brooklyn on Sunday, sources told PIX11 News.

It happened around 10:20 p.m. on a northbound No. 3 train near Utica Avenue in Crown Heights, police said. The teenager was stabbed once in the leg, according to authorities.

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. The four suspects ran out of the train car and onto another northbound train, police said.

The teenager told police he did not know his attackers, sources said.

Earlier on Sunday, a 25-year-old man was stabbed multiple times on a northbound No. 5 train in the Bronx, according to authorities. The victim told police he had felt the suspect staring at him, and when he asked why he was being stared at, he was attacked, sources told PIX11 News.

The two incidents happened after Gov. Kathy Hochul rolled out a plan to curb violence in the subway system by adding more police officers on trains from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. It’s not clear if any officers were present at the time of both stabbings.

No arrests have been made in either stabbing.
