City of Oklahoma City warns of utility scam

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The City of Oklahoma City is warning residents of a potential scam regarding your utilities bill.

According to the City of OKC, fraudulent phone calls have been made demanding payments for past due balances for OKC utilities.

Officials say the city would never call to demand money over the phone. If you receive a call like this, do not give any payment information. Instead, call the OKC Utilities Department directly at 405-297-2833.
