Clackamas County man arrested in online child luring operation
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A multi-agency mission targeting those trying to lure and exploit children online resulted in the arrest of a Clackamas County man earlier this month, police said.
Police took 53-year-old Marcus Gwilliam into custody after Milwaukie police say he'd attempted to meet up with a person he believed was a minor he met online. However, the "child" was a decoy detective.
Officials said Gwilliam and the "child" then made plans to "engage in illegal acts." When he arrived at the agreed upon meeting place, he was arrested.
Gwilliam was booked into the Clackamas County Jail on charges of luring a minor and online sex corruption of a child.
As detectives believe there may be more victims, they are asking anyone with information to come forward to Milwaukie police.
