Pharrell and Adidas Have Officially Revealed Their New Sneaker Collaboration

0

Pharrell Williams’ 50-color Louis Vuitton ButterSoft sneaker unveiling wasn’t his only footwear design that had people talking at Paris Fashion Week. Also treated to a formal reveal was Williams’ new Adidas Jellyfish collaboration, a shoe he’s been spotted wearing repeatedly since summer 2024.

Detailed images of the Pharrell Williams x Adidas Jellyfish surfaced last week, with several Paris Fashion Week attendees getting their hands on the shoes for the first time. Essentially an elevated version of the Adidas Adistar Cushion, the mysterious sneaker had been worn by Williams on numerous occasions prior to its official introduction in Paris.

In July ’24, Williams wore the shoe ahead of the Paris Olympics and at the time, Adidas said it was a custom sneaker made specifically for him. Now, it looks like the brand has plans to release the shoe to the public.

Williams’ Adidas Jellyfish collaboration starts with the Adistar Cushion as a base, but warps and wraps its paneling with protruding TPU pieces inspired by — what else? — a jellyfish. The molded structure lines and Three Stripes branding jut out of the shoe for a three-dimensional effect. The tongue of the sneakers includes a callout to Williams’ home state of Virginia along with a new “Jellyfish” logo.

In addition to the orange-accented pair gifted to attendees, Williams wore white-and-gray and white-and-blue versions of the Jellyfish for many of his Paris Fashion Week duties.

Williams, who is Louis Vuitton’s men’s creative director, also unveiled in Paris a new partnership with longtime friend Nigo. The duo worked together on the Louis Vuitton fall 2025 menswear collection and also partnered for a “Nigo Knows & Pharrell Knows Too” collection through Joopiter, Williams’ digital auction house.

Release information for the Pharrell Williams x Adidas Jellyfish collaboration was not announced, but it’s apparent that the shoe is no longer solely a custom for Williams. Readers can expect more details soon.
