9th annual Schenectady Soup Stroll winners announced

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Thousands of visitors sampled soup recipes from 32 participating restaurants in the ninth annual Schenectady Soup Stroll on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees were asked to choose their favorites in an online survey and the results are in.

This year, the restaurant crowned Schenectady "Souperstar" was Simone's Kitchen. It was rated best overall for its Moroccan Roasted Carrot Soup with spiced apple drizzle and hazelnut crunch and received the most votes for "most creative" and "most Instagram-worthy."

Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corp added the "best experience" category during the event after seeing the entertainment and special elements that restaurants added to enhance customer experience.
