French president Macron's popularity hits new low

French President Emmanuel Macron's popularity has dropped to a new low of 21 percent, according to an Ifop poll. His approval rating has fallen further than during the 2019 yellow vests protests. The decline is notable among older people and pensioners, his usual supporters. The poll surveyed 2,001 adults online between January 15 and 23.
