Jeanerette Police bust car burglary ring, 5 teens arrested

JEANERETTE, La. (KLFY) - Jeanerette Police have arrested 5 teenagers connected to a car burglary ring.

Authorities say on Monday they received reports from different areas of the city that vehicles had been burglarized and damaged. During the investigation, several suspects were identified and evidence was recovered.

Those arrested are:

• Brandon Derouen, 17 years old. He's charged with Simple Burglary, Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule I Narcotics
• Corey Kimble Jr., 18 years old. He is charged with Simple Burglary.
• 15 year old juvenile. He is charged with Simple Burglary, Possession with The Intent to Distribute Schedule I Narcotics, Simple Criminal Damage to Property, and Resisting an Officer.
• 15 year old juvenile. He is charged with Simple Burglary and Resisting an Officer.
• 14 year old juvenile. He is charged with Simple Burglary

Jeanerette Interim Police Chief Terrance Moore Sr. says the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
