Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office arrests two following a shots fired investigation

NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) - On January 22, 2025, deputies with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Hazard Road after receiving reports of shots fired in the vicinity.

Authorities say as the investigation unfolded, the owner of a vehicle, voluntarily consented to a search of the vehicle. During the search, authorities say deputies discovered two firearms concealed under clothing on the rear floorboard.

Officials say two of the vehicle’s occupants were felons on probation. Authorities say a third individual admitted to firing a gun at the cemetery located on Hazard Road and claimed ownership of the two firearms found in the vehicle.

The following individuals were arrested and charged

o Errale Walker: (2 counts) 14:95.1 – Felon in possession of a firearm

o Cayden Comeaux: (2 counts) 14:95.1 – Felon in possession of a firearm

o Kaymion Beals: 14:94 – Illegal use of weapons.

Walker and Comeaux were booked into the Iberia Parish Jail. Beals was released on a summons.
