'Make new voice-only plans cheaper': Trai asks telcos

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has asked telecom companies to significantly reduce the prices of their voice- and SMS-only tariff plans, aiming to cater to cost-conscious 2G users and others requiring minimal data services. This move is expected to slow down the migration to 4G and impact ARPU growth for telcos.
