• Scott City Hall
  • Address: 125 Lions Club Road, Scott
  • Operating Hours: 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Carencro Fire Station No. 3
  • Address: 911 W. Gloria Switch Road, Carencro
  • Opening at noon, while supplies last
  • Note: Bottled water distribution only. No onsite potable water tanker.

ORIGINAL STORY: LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- Residents of Lafayette Parish without access to fresh, potable water can get some help today.

Lafayette Consolidated Government and the Lafayette Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness announced water distribution sites will open Friday for Lafayette Parish residents in need.

Water distribution, including bottled water and access to potable water tankers, will continue Friday at the following locations:

• Youngsville Sports Complex
  • Address: 801 Savoy Road, Youngsville
  • Operating Hours: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Scott City Hall
  • Address: 125 Lions Club Road, Scott
  • Operating Hours: 7:30 a.m.-noon
  • Note: A 6,000-gallon tanker truck will be onsite Friday in addition to existing bottled water distribution.

Officials said the Carencro Fire Station No. 3 distribution site is no longer operational as the community’s needs have been met.

Important reminders for residents:

• Limit 1 bottled water case per family.
• Bring containers to fill with potable water as a spigot will be available for easy access.
• Bring ID/provide proof of Lafayette Parish residency in an effort to ensure availability for all.
