DoT blocked 90% incoming international spoof calls after launch of new prevention system spot

The Department of Telecommunications, with telecom service providers, has effectively blocked 1.35 crore spoofed international calls within 24 hours of launching the new prevention system. This initiative has substantially reduced such calls to 4 lakh per day. Measures include displaying 'international calls' on inbound foreign calls and blocking persistent spoofed call carriers.
