Wadsworth Center to lead flu detection, vaccine development efforts
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Wadsworth Center in Albany will serve as a hub of influenza research over the next five years.
The New York State Department of Health said the lab will receive a federal grant to become a flu reference center. The lab will work to genetically sequence flu strains and help develop vaccines.
The lab will also conduct testing for other viruses, including mumps and measles.
