Donation to help free health clinic expand services
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A local health clinic that provides treatment to people in need can continue their work thanks to a generous donation. MVP Health Care gave $25,000 to the Capital City Rescue Mission's health care clinic.
The clinic provides primary care and urgent care services to people who are facing housing insecurity or do not have insurance. The funding will be used to support mental health counseling and language interpretation services.
The clinic provides vital services to those with nowhere else to turn for help.
"We do not charge anything to any of our patients," Clinical Director Stephanie Zeronda said. "They're able to see a licensed healthcare provider. They're able to get any needed laboratory or radiology tests free of charge. They're also able to get any medications that they need completely free of charge."
The clinic serves about 600 people each year. Walk-ins are accepted, but appointments are encouraged.
If you'd like an appointment, you can contact the clinic at (518) 462-0459 ext. 233.
