A GLADIATORS star has today revealed he’s going to be a dad for the second time.

Last weekend saw the hunk return to the hit BBC show for a brand new series, and now he’s got even more news to celebrate.

Zack George – who is known by Gladiators fans as Steel – couldn’t contain his excitement when he revealed he was going to be a father-of-two.

The TV star, 34, revealed the happy news on Instagram with a sweet snap of himself and wife Samantha, along with their toddler Ivy clutching a baby scan photo.

Writing next to the cute picture, Steel said: “Ivy is very excited to have a new friend very soon!

“Little George number 2 in the making!”

The Gladiators star’s fans immediately rushed to congratulate him, with one writing: “Ah man this is amazing news congrats guys.”

While another said: “Aaaw massive Congratulations Steel!! So happy for you both.”

While one of his family wrote: “Congratulations so excited for the next baby to join our family.”

Zack joined Gladiators when the BBC rebooted the show last year.

Before finding TV fame, the CrossFit fanatic enjoyed an impressive career in fitness.

Talking about his role on Gladiators, Zack said last year: “I was inspired by the Gladiators as a child, but never imagined I’d be physically fit enough to be considered a ‘superhuman’!

“I hope a new generation of fans will look up to me as their new strong, unbreakable hero, Steel.”

But Zack hasn’t always been so body confident and he has talked about struggling with confidence when he was a child.

The hunk previously opened up about his past addiction to fast food, which saw him change his life dramatically for the better.

GLADIATORS RETURNS

Meanwhile, last week’s opening episode of Gladiators season 2 saw one of its main stars being forced to quit the competition.

Nitro – real name Harry Aikines-Aryeetey – was forced to withdraw from the competition.

The super-fit former Team GB sprinter announced the sad news during last Saturday’s episode.

Hosts Bradley and Barney Walsh announced that one of the Gladiators had sustained an injury during training and would be withdrawing – before introducing Nitro.

He said: “Obviously you know I’m explosive, I’m powerful.

“Sometimes I’m too powerful. And I ended up hurting myself. I’ve got a little bit of a dodgy knee.

“But these things happen in sport, you know, when you’re pushing yourself as hard as you do.

“The pecs aren’t going anywhere – they’re right here. They’re staying here.

“I need all those Nitro fans out there to give me some energy because I need to recharge.”

The news comes after The Sun revealed two new Gladiators were joining the show.

The new Gladiators are esteemed athletes called Cyclone and Hammer, and behind their stage names, their real names are Lystus Ebosele and Tom Wilson.

One is a British rowing champion, and the other is a super-strong weightlifter.

Newcomer Lystus, 23, is a classic powerlifter who represents Ireland.
