Auditor apologizes for errors, discloses 2nd mistake

“This should never have happened,” said Lucas County Auditor Katie Moline. Under fire for errors in the revaluations of hundreds of Lucas County properties, Ms. Moline held a news conference Thursday that she began by offering an apology to the taxpayers of Lucas County. She also disclosed that a second error in her office’s processes had been discovered. “I understand how frustrating this process has been. But we found the problem. We’re fixing the problem,” she said.
