'He has proven himself': MAGA Republican already proposing to let Trump run again
A MAGA Republican only needed four days into President Donald Trump's second term to declare him so successful that he deserves a shot at another term.
The amendment limited presidents to serving no more than two elected terms
That tradition was famously broken by Franklin D. Roosevelt, who was elected to four consecutive terms during the Great Depression and World War II
"President Trump’s decisive leadership stands in stark contrast to the chaos, suffering, and economic decline Americans have endured over the past four years. He has proven himself to be the only figure in modern history capable of reversing our nation’s decay and restoring America to greatness, and he must be given the time necessary to accomplish that goal."
Ogles said the amendment would ensure the country "can sustain the bold leadership" it "so desperately needs."
"It is imperative that we provide President Trump with every resource necessary to correct the disastrous course set by the Biden administration. President Trump has shown time and time again that his loyalty lies with the American people and our great nation above all else. He is dedicated to restoring the republic and saving our country, and we, as legislators and as states, must do everything in our power to support him," said Ogles.
Ogles specifically touted Trump's spree of executive orders, including declaring a national emergency at the border deploying troops to the border, and expediting the building of the wall between the United States and Mexico.
The proposal comes as Ogles starts off 2025 unable to shake suspicion over a questionable loan he claimed he gave his campaign three years ago that opened up a web of problems. The scandal-plagued Republican could be forced to incriminate himself.
