Govt mulls regulatory sandbox for advanced air mobility solutions

India’s civil aviation ministry plans a regulatory sandbox to promote advanced air mobility, aiming to reduce urban congestion. This initiative focuses on eVTOLs and includes R&D activities. The DGCA is setting up working groups and studying international practices to enhance airspace management and regulatory frameworks. By 2047, India expects to have 350 airports and 350 crore air passengers.
