Four men charged with murder of mum gunned down at wake

Four people have been charged over the death of Michelle Sadio who was killed outside a church in northwest London.

The 44-year-old mother died after being shot from a moving car outside River of Life Elim Pentecostal Church in Willesden.

She was part of a congregation of 120 people when the attack happened on December 14. Two men were also injured.

Previously, a teenager was charged over the killing following an investigation while a total of five people were arrested.

Tahjin Sommersal, 18, from Feltham, was previously charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Now further three men have also been charged, including another teen.

Perry Allen-Thomas, 26, from Wembley, was charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder. He is due to appear at Willesden Magistrates Court today.

Amir Salem, 18, and Shaquille Sutherland, 24, both from Wembley, appeared at a hearing in Willesden Magistrates Court yesterday charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Both have been remanded in custody until the next hearing on Tuesday at the Old Bailey.

Three other people have been arrested as part of the probe and remain on bail.

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Clarke said: ‘This investigation is progressing at pace and we are very grateful to the local community for their continued support in our endeavours to charge those responsible for Michelle’s murder.

‘We would like to thank members of the public for sharing CCTV footage with us, which has proved to be vital evidence and extremely helpful to the investigation.’
