Bindi Irwin Enlists Help From Daughter Grace (& Dad Steve Irwin!) to Promote Her Latest Venture in the Sweetest New Photo

Wildlife conservation is a family affair for the Irwins — so Bindi Irwin had to enlist the help of her sweet 3-year-old daughter Grace Warrior to help her with a new project! The 26-year-old, who shares Grace with husband Chandler Powell, shared the cutest photo of her daughter (and her dad, the late Steve Irwin!) to promote her latest animal-education venture. And her adorably excited face is making us misty-eyed!

“Calling all Wildlife Warriors! 📣 You Are A Wildlife Warrior will be available in Australia and the US on February 4th!” Bindi wrote on Instagram recently. “Join me on an adventure through @australiazoo, where you’ll meet crocodiles, koalas, and kangaroos, oh my! Plus, learn how YOU can help protect them 🐊🐨🦘”

In the photo, Bindi holds her new children’s book, You Are a Wildlife Warrior: Saving Animals and the Planet, as she crouches down next to Grace at the zoo. Both mother and daughter are wearing the famous khakis that the Crocodile Hunter always wore, and Grace looks adorable smiling at something in the distance. Behind them, a huge cut-out picture of Steve with his fists in the air smiles above a sign that says “Australia Zoo, Home of the Crocodile Hunter.” Although Steve tragically died in 2006, he is still a huge part of the Irwins’ lives, and this generational photo proves how true that is. (Are you crying yet?!)

Bindi’s mom (and Grace’s “Bunny”) Terri Irwin commented on the photo, “Wonderful that your beautiful book can be preordered. Well done @bindisueirwin! ❤️”

Bindi announced her new book in June, also with the help of Grace. It makes sense — after all, Grace is in the book herself! The illustrated story, which debuts Feb. 4, follows Bindi and Grace as they introduce animals at the Australia Zoo and teach kids about the ways to protect the animals and their environments.

“Today is one of the very best days of my entire life,” Bindi says in a video on Instagram at the time. “I officially get to share with you my new children’s book!” She reads the book to Grace in the video and they meet real animals at the zoo, like koala bears and giraffes. Terri commented on the video, “I am tremendously proud of you, @bindisueirwin. You are a wonderful mama and a true Wildlife Warrior! Your book is beautiful and brilliant. A fantastic, fun story for everyone!”
