Northbound I-49 down to one lane at St. Landry Parish line

CARENCRO, La. (KLFY) -- Motorists heading north from Lafayette on I-49 may want to leave a little earlier than usual for the time being.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced the right lane of I-49 northbound is closed at the Lafayette/St Landry Parish line until further notice.
This lane closure is necessary to allow crews to perform emergency road repairs, DOTD said.
One lane will be open to regular traffic with no width restrictions. Emergency vehicles will have access to the area, but may experience delays.
