Man hospitalized in downtown Topeka shooting
TOPEKA (KSNT) - A local man was hospitalized in Topeka in the early morning hours of Thursday following a shooting in the downtown area.
Rosie Nichols with the City of Topeka said in a press release that officers with the Topeka Police Department (TPD) were called just after midnight on Jan. 16 to the 400 block of Southwest Fillmore Street on reports of a shooting. Officers with the TPD arriving in the area found a man with non-life-threatening injuries who was later taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Nichols said no arrests have been made yet in connection to this shooting and the investigation into it is ongoing.
