Sriharikota to get third launchpad, Cabinet approves Rs 3,984 crore plan

The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the development of a third launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre for Rs 3984.86 Crore. This new facility will support Next-Generation Launch Vehicles and critical future missions, including the Ganganyaan programme. The project will be completed within 48 months with significant industry participation, ISRO stated.
